McDonald’s Worker Shot and Killed in Gambrills

GAMBRILLS, MD – A McDonald’s employee was shot and killed while working his shift at the Gambrills location on Crain Highway. Accoring to police, at around 4:45 a.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots fired at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 1130 Crain Highway South.

” Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound(s) to his body. A Forensic Investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) and Homicide detectives responded,” the Anne Arundel County Police Department said. “The victim was identified as Britrain Marcelus Gray, 23, of Odenton, and was working at the restaurant at the time of the shooting. Mr. Gray was transported to the OCME for an autopsy, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.”

According to a preliminary investigation, detectives believe Gray’s murder was a targeted incident, not a random act of violence.


“There is no ongoing threat to public safety,” the department said. “This is an active and fluid investigation where the Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731.”x`
