One dead, one injured in violent Alexandria Carjacking

ALEXANDRIA, VA. – One person was shot and killed, and another was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds after they were carjacked Friday afternoon in Alexandria by five alleged suspects.

The Alexandria Police Department said the carjacking took place at approximately 2:57 p.m. when dispatch received a call for shots fired in the 2300 block of Richmond Highway.  

“Upon arrival, police discovered one male deceased and a second male with a gunshot wound in serious condition,” the Alexandria Police Department said Friday Afternoon. “While the investigation is still ongoing, initial evidence suggests that the incident began as an alleged carjacking incident involving five individuals.  All persons involved in this incident have been accounted for and there is no threat to the public.”
