The Reading Police Are Serious About Taking Your ATV or Dirtbike if You Drive it on Public Roads

Ryan Dickinson

READING, PA – The Reading Police Department isn’t kidding around about cracking down on illegal riding of dirt bikes and ATVs on public streets. This week, the department boasted about the number of confiscated vehicles slated for destruction.

“The Reading Police Department instituted a zero tolerance policy and seized these vehicles when found to be driven illegally on our city streets. Today was the last phase of this process to ensure that we will not be chasing these same vehicles again,” the department said today. “As many of you residents know the illegal dirt bike/ATV riding on the city streets had really begun to be an issue, and the subject of numerous complaints.”
