One Shot in D.C. After Argument Escalates to Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on May 13th. This incident happened on the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast D.C..

According to detectives, “At approximately 10:24 pm, the suspect and victims were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. As the victims were leaving the scene in a vehicle, the suspect brandished a handgun and fired, striking one of victims. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.”

Nearby surveillance cameras caught the suspect.
