81-Year-Old Man Picking Up Takeout Order Carjacked at Gunpoint in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police are hoping the public can help them identify an armed carjacker that carjacked an 81-year-old man who was just picking up his food order.

According to police, on May 9th, at 1:15 pm, the victim, an 81-year-old-male, parked his car on 4600 N. Broad St to order his lunch.

“When the victim exited his vehicle and walked over to the restaurant to place his takeout order an unknown black male who was walking north on Broad St enters the victim’s car and hides in the back seat as the victim is completing his order,” police said. “When the victim returns and gets into his car the suspect puts a gun to the back of his head and demands his keys. After a brief struggle, the victim got out of the vehicle and the suspect fled with the victim’s vehicle and was last seen south on Broad St.”
