EVESHAM, NJ – Police in Evesham are investigating an “Orbeez Challenge” incident as a crime after the occupants of a Hyundai Elantra partaking in a challenge did a driveby shooting using water and gel-based splat guns at bystanders.

“The Evesham PD is currently investigating multiple reports associated with a new social media challenge called the “Orbeez Challenge”. The challenge encourages young individuals to utilize an “Orbeez Gun” to fire gel-filled balls at innocent bystanders,” the Evesham Police Department reported. “On May 9TH and May 10TH, our agency received reports stating a gray-colored vehicle, believed to be a 2017 to 2020 Hyundai Elantra, was observed driving past multiple victims as an unknown subject leaned out of the moving vehicle and fired the gel-filled balls at bystanders and then drove away. These incidents occurred on Barton Run Boulevard, as well as the basketball area on Merchants Way in Kings Grant.”

If anyone knows the identity of the suspects or has information related to the crime, you are asked to contact the Evesham Police Department at 856-983-1116.
