Suspect Who Stabbed Two Women, Man in Pittsburgh Apartment Arrested

PITTSBURGH, PA – A male suspect who stabbed a woman inside a Frankstown Avenue apartment Thursday morning has been captured by police.

Pittsburgh VCU detectives arrested Urvin Wright, 42, of Homewood. Wright is charged with 2-counts of Aggravated Assault and 2-counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person. He is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.

Pittsburgh Police responded to the 7700 block of Frankstown Avenue around 3:30 a.m. for multiple stabbing victims.


When Zone 5 officers arrived, they were directed to an adult female with multiple stab wounds inside an apartment. Medics transported her in critical condition. A second female and male were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.
