SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – A level two registered sex offender in Suffolk County is facing new charges after police found photos of lewd images on his cellphone.
According to police, during a routine check of Keith Schoelermann, a Level 2 Sex Offender, by Suffolk County Probation officers, an unregistered cellphone was located that contained child pornography.
“Probation officers and Suffolk County Police Computer Crimes Unit detectives, along with Seventh Precinct Community Support Unit officers, subsequently executed a search warrant at Schoelermann’s home,” police said.
Schoelermann, 29, of Grove Road West, Mastic Beach, was charged with Possessing Sexual Performance by a Child and Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child.
