Man Shot in Southeast, D.C. , Suspect Escaped In Car

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting which took place on Saturday, May 21st. This incident happened on the 1500 block of Good Hope Road, in Southeast, D.C.. Police need help identifying the vehicle involved.

According to investigators, “At approximately 2:47 pm, members of the Sixth District were notified of adult male victim who walked in to a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Upon further investigation by detectives, it was determined that the offense occurred at the listed location.”

Nearby surveillance cameras caught the vehicle. It can be described as a Volkswagen sedan, dark blue with a slightly bent front tag.
