Police Searching After Dog Stolen from Car in Lothian

Jeff Jones

LOTHIAN, MD – At this point, Anne Arundel Police don’t know whether a dognapping that took place in Lothian was an act of a good samaritan or a broad daylight dognapping.

According to police, last night, a dog was taken from a vehicle near Patuxent Wetland Park in Lothian.

“It is unknown if the person responsible took the dog because they believed it was in distress or if they were stealing the dog,” the department said. “The dog was left in the car with the windows down approximately 3 inches.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Butkus at 410-222-1965 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.
