Man Found Shot And Killed In D.C. Tent

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a homicide which took place yesterday, May 23rd. This incident happened at Thomas Circle and Massachusetts Avenue in Northwest, D.C.

According to police, “At approximately 9:47 am, MPD officers heard the sound of a gunshot. Members conducted a search and were directed by witnesses to the listed location. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim, inside of a tent, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
