Columbus Woman Struck By Gunfire Inside Her Home

COLUMBUS, OH- The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday night. Officers responded to reports of a person being shot at the 1600 block of East 17th Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim, a 31-year-old woman who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. According to detectives, “at the time of the incident, the victim was sitting inside her residence when unknown suspects fired several gunshots into the house, striking her in the leg.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by medics. She is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. This incident is still under investigation.
