Do You Recognize Them? Newark Police Seeking Car Thief

Newark, NJ – A Newark resident who left their wallet with credit cards inside their car on the 100 block of Brill Street saw that his car had been broken into.

After looking at security video from businesses where the thieves used the credit cards at, police were able to get pictures of the suspects and now, they are asking the public to help them to be identified.

“Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with a theft from auto that occurred in the 100 block of Brill Street, on Wednesday, May 17, 2022,” the Newark Police Department said in a statement today. “A victim, who left his vehicle unlocked at approximately 5 p.m., returned to find the vehicle ransacked and his wallet missing. The victim’s wallet contained four credit cards.”


Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage of the below individuals using the victim’s credit card at various businesses. We seek the public’s help in quickly identifying these suspects as part of this investigation. Both suspects are known to frequent the area of Heller Parkway and North 6th Street.
