Baltimore Man Charged for Murder in Bel Air

BEL AIR, MD – Harford County Police have arrested a Baltimore man for a murder that took place on Memorial Day. Milton Mondowney, 31, of Rosedale, was captured within 24 hours after shooting and killing a man in Bel Air multiple times, killing him. He has been charged with murder.

“On May 30, 2022, at 5:32 a.m., patrol deputies assigned to the Northern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1900 block of North Fountain Green Road in Bel Air for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Medics pronounced him deceased at the scene,” police said.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.


“The investigation progressed swiftly and a suspect, identified as Milton Mondowney, 31, of Rosedale, was taken into custody in Baltimore without incident, nearly 12 hours after the homicide,” the Harford County Police Department said. “While the motive remains under investigation, initial information indicates Mondowney entered an apartment and shot the victim multiple times as a result of a dispute between the victim and Mondowney.”
