BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – Brick Township Police Department K-9 Max retired from the department 14 months ago after a 10 year career as a police dog. This week, Max passed away.

“With sadness we announce the passing of retired K-9 Max. Max retired in January of 2021 and lived out his retirement with his handler, Sgt. Keith Prendeville for the past year-and-a-half. It’s always sad to lose a four-legged friend, but in this case Sgt. Prendeville also had to say goodbye to his partner of ten years,” the Brick Police Department said in a statement on Tuesday.
