Schenectady Police Investigating Memorial Day Murder on Twenty-First Birthday

Schenectady, BY – A Bronx man was found dead in Schenectady on Memorial Day after a report of shots fired on State Street. It turned out the man was killed on his twenty-first birthday.

According to the Schenectady Police Department, at approximately 11:30 pm on Monday, officers were called to the area of 800 State Street for the report of shots fired and a male victim laying on the ground.

“Upon arrival, the victim had already been transported to Ellis Hospital by private vehicle, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim is identified as Treavine L. Tate (5/30/01), most recently of Bronx, NY,” police reported. “Members of the Schenectady Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit processed the scene which was located on Hulett Street, between State Street and Albany Street.”
