Cumberland Crime Report, Warrant Arrest, Disorderly and an Assault

CUMBERLAND, MD – The Cumberland Police Department has issued the following arrest blotter reports from the community over the past few days. This report is not a list of all arrests during this time.

Warrant Arrest

The Cumberland Police served three Arrest Warrants on Caressa Ann Gordon, age 30, of Cumberland, MD. One Warrant was for Fail to Appear for a court date for an original charge of Theft of $100-$1,500. Two Warrants were for Violation of Conditions of Release for original CDS charges. She was taken to Central Booking for her initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner and is being held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bond on each of the Warrants.

Disorderly Conduct Arrest

The Cumberland Police arrested Matthew Schafer Zink, age 38 of Cumberland MD. The police were called to the Downtown Mall several times for Zink causing a disturbance and causing problems at a business on the Mall. After being told to cease his behavior, he continued to create disturbances and was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace. He was issued two Criminal Citations and released from police custody.

Criminal Summons Served

The Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Nancy Coronado. The Summons charged her with Hit and Run related traffic charges following a Motor Vehicle crash that occurred on May 23rd, 2022 on Virginia Ave. She is awaiting trial in the matter.

The Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Tynette Lima. The Summons charged Lima with Disorderly Conduct and Attempted Theft $100-$1,500. The charges were the result of an incident that occurred on May 25th, 2022 on S. Central Ave. She is currently awaiting trial in the matter.

Assault Arrest

The Cumberland Police were called to a residence on the 100 block of Grand Ave for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the male and female residents. Through the investigation, it was learned that Brittnie Nicole Turner, age 30, had assaulted the male resident. Officers observed injuries that were consistent with the victim’s statements. Turner was placed under arrest and charged with Second Degree Assault. She was taken to Central Booking for her initial appearance with the District Court Commissioner. Turner is awaiting her hearing.
