10-Year-Old Under Psychiatric Evaluation After School Threats at Preston Park Elementary

ROANOKE, VA – Police are investigating after a threat to harm students in his school, a class six felony, according to the Roanoke Police Department.

“Roanoke Police have sought petitions for threats to harm others at a school (class six felony) and threats to damage a school building (class one misdemeanor) on a ten-year-old juvenile male regarding the threats made against Preston Park Elementary School staff and students. The petitions will be served pending the juvenile’s release from psychiatric medical care,” the department said.

Police did not release any further information on this event.
