Asbury Jersey Pride Festival to Be Held Sunday, Here are the City’s Parking Restrictions

ASBURY PARK, NJ – On Sunday, Asbury Park will host its annual Pride Parade, but don’t go home with a ticket, or worse a towed vehicle. The Asbury Park Police Department has issued the following guidance regarding parking for the event.

The Jersey Pride Parade and Festival will be held this Sunday.

There will be heavy traffic delays as well as road closures in certain sections of the City. There will be NO PARKING in the Municipal Lot, Bangs Ave between Memorial Dr and Main St, and Mattison Ave between Main St and Bond St as these areas will be closed to vehicles.

There will be NO PARKING permitted on Cookman Ave from Main St to Grand Ave beginning at 10am until approx 2pm. Vehicles on these roads and areas will be towed at owners expense. Main St will be closed between Bangs Ave and Lake Ave between 12pm and 2pm.


Cookman Ave from Main St to Grand Ave, Grand Ave from Cookman Ave to Sunset Ave and Sunset Ave from Grand Ave to Kingsley St will be closed from 12pm until approx 2pm.

Please plan accordingly and avoid these areas in order to avoid being stuck in traffic. The beachfront and areas east of Grand Ave can be accessed by using either Sixth Ave, Seventh Ave, Eighth Ave or Deal Lake Dr to Kingsley St then east on 7th Ave to Ocean Ave as well as Lake Ave from Main St to the beachfront.
