Lancaster Man Assaulted Female Passenger, Gets Hit With Illegal Gun Charge at Jersey Shore

WILDWOOD CREST, N J – A 27-year-old Lancaster man who engaged in a physical assault of a female passenger in his vehicle has been arrested on an illegal gun charge.

Quenton Skrine is now facing charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and prohibited weapons and devices after a June 2nd interaction with Wildwood Crest Police Department officers.

According to police, last Thursday, at approximately 4:17 am, officers from the Wildwood Crest Police Department responded to the 7900 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of a dispute in a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim and determined that she had been physically assaulted by Quenton Skrine, which resulted in bodily injury.

Skrine was also located and detained during the investigation.


“While placing Skrine under arrest, it was discovered that he was in possession of a loaded magazine containing hollow-point bullets,” the department said. “Officers canvased the area and located a loaded handgun near to where the dispute had occurred. Further investigation revealed that the handgun was reported stolen out of York, PA.”
