NEWARK, NJ – Two armed gunmen in Newark held a Dollar Tree store manager at gunpoint and demanded the store’s safe be opened. Fearing for their life, the manager complied, and the two men fled with over $4,600 in cash.

Now, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured two male suspects in connection with an armed robbery at Dollar Tree, 1111 South Orange Avenue, on Friday, May 27, 2022.

“Just after 3 p.m., the two suspects entered the store, with one suspect walking into the manager’s office and demanding the safe to be opened at gunpoint,” O’Hara said. “The suspect left the store with over $4,600.00. A second suspect, who accompanied the first suspect to the store, served as a lookout during the robbery.”

While detectives are actively searching for these suspects, O’Hara said he is seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying them as part of this investigation.
