Gibbsboro Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Shooting Woman Tuesday Morning

Gibbsboro, N.J.- Polie arrived at a home in Freedom Village on Independence Way Tuesday morning to find a woman shot and another man assaulted. Today, a Gibbsboro man, Cornell Ingalls, Jr., 22, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons offenses after a shooting occurred during an altercation between two men and a woman.

“At 8:41 a.m., officers of the Gibbsboro Police Department responded to the Freedom Village on Independence Way for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a woman who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the left leg and a man who had also been assaulted,” police said. “Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office were advised of the shooting at approximately 9:23 am, by Gibbsboro Police. CCPO Detectives responded to the scene to assist police with the investigation. The investigation determined that a female victim unrelated to the incident suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg. The female victim was transported to Virtua Voorhees Hospital where she was treated and released on Tuesday.”

Ingalls is currently lodged at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
