ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The teen curfew is in effect in Atlantic City and today the city government issued a reminder that police will be enforcing the curfew. Violations come with a hefty penalty of up to $1,000 plus community service time.

“The Atlantic City Police Department wishes to remind the public, parents, and guardians of juveniles of the Juvenile Curfew Act, enacted by City Council in 2006. Officers are enforcing the city curfew ordinance, which begins at 10:00 PM and ends at 6:00 AM every day for juveniles under the age of 18.” the department said today.

Violators and their parents can be issued a summons, which includes penalties and fines up to $1,000.00 and community service. The department noted exceptions to the ordinance, which include emergencies, coming to/from work, and being with a parent or guardian.
