Here’s What’s Happening in Cumberland: June 21 Crime Report

CUMBERLAND, MD – The Cumberland Police Department has released information about the following crimes that took place on Monday, June 20th. The below incidents do not represent all of the responses for service by Cumberland officers during that preiod.

Harassment Arrest


On June 20th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police arrested Stephen Kenneth Heath, 33, of Cumberland MD. Heath was arrested on an outstanding Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court. The Warrant was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on June 18th, 2022. During that incident, it is alleged that Heath violated the terms and conditions of a Protective Order issued by the Allegany County District Court. Heath was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.

Charges: Violation of Protective Order, Harassment-Course of Conduct, Electric Communication Harassment, Stalking


Shoplifting Arrest


On June 20th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police arrested Autumn Nicole Stallings, 40, of Cumberland MD. Stallings was arrested on an outstanding Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court. The Warrant was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on April 29th, 2022 at a business in the 600 block of Greene St. During that incident, it is alleged that Stallings entered the store and stole numerous items inside. Stallings was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was released on her own personal recognizance.

Charges: Theft less than $100

Assault


On June 20th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Grand Ave. for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with Jessica Nicole Porter, 34, and Douglas Bryan Combs, 59, both of Cumberland MD. Both were suffering from minor head and facial injuries sustained in the reported assault. Investigation revealed that an argument had occurred between Porter and Combs over Porter being locked out of the residence. An argument then ensued after Porter gained access to the home. The argument then escalated and both subjects assaulted one another. As a result, both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Department for processing. Both subjects were taken before the District Court Commissioner for Initial Appearances where both were remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. Combs is currently being held without bond. Ported was held on $5,000 bond.

Charges: Assault 2nd Degree
