New York Fire Marshals Seize $15,000 in Illegal Fireworks

NEW YORK, NY – As New York City edges closer to the 4th of July, Fire Marshals across the city are on the lookout for illegal fireworks. This week, FDNY Fire Marshals arrested three individuals in two separate incidents who were in possession of a total of $15,000 worth of fireworks. These individuals were charged with reckless endangerment and possession of illegal fireworks.

The Fire Marshals are asking New Yorkers to New Yorkers call 311 to anonymously report the use, delivery, or sale of fireworks. If you see something dangerous, call 911.

Fireworks are illegal in NYC, the department stated.
