D.C. Police Make Arrest In Murder of 16 Year-Old

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting death of a 16 year-old in Southeast, D.C.. This incident happened on May 26th on the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace.

According to detectives, “At approximately 11:24 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located a juvenile male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

16-year-old Justin Johnson, of Temple Hills, Maryland was identified as the victim.

18 year-old Derrico Johnson, of Southeast, D.C. was arrested on Sunday and charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.
