Home Invasion, Robbery Leads to Gunshots, Police Chase in Gloucester

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Police arrived in time while three burglars were breaking into a home in the Glendora section of the township Tuesday night.

According to police, at approximately 5:31 PM, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike in the Glendora section of Gloucester Township for a report of a robbery.

“Upon officer’s arrival, they took a safe position around the residence. The officers then heard multiple gunshots while three suspects tried to flee from the area. One suspect was taken into custody and two others got into a vehicle and sped away from the area. A vehicle pursuit was initiated and officers pursued the vehicle until it was safely terminated,” police reported. “There were several victims assaulted by the suspects during the incident but no one was struck by gunfire.”
