PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police in the City of Brotherly Love are searching for suspects who weren’t in a loving mood earlier this week. Multiple people were shot in a drive-by shooting on Monday. Today, the department released video of the suspect vehicle and now, the Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group is asking for the public’s assistance for information in reference to this shooting incident.
On June 27, 2022, at 8:00 pm, 39th District officers responded to a radio call of multiple people shot on the highway on the 4900 block of Wayne Ave.
“Two male victims were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, each suffering from multiple gunshots wounds to their arms, legs and buttocks. Video of the incident depicts a black Dodge Journey traveling southbound on Wayne Ave as the passenger fires over two dozen shots at victims sitting on a step. The vehicle fled southbound on Wayne Ave towards Abbottsford Ave,” police said.
