Schenectady, Ny – Police in Schenectady are investigating a shooting death inside Vibez Bar in Schenectady on Friday. According to police, at approximately 12:51 am Friday morning, officers were called to the area for the report of a male who had been shot.
“Upon arrival on the scene, officers located the victim inside Vibez Bar and Lounge (1490 State St.) suffering from a gunshot wound,” police said. “The victim was treated a tthe scene by medics from the Schenectady Fire Department and was transported to Ellis Hospital where he later died.”
The deceased was identified as John W. Bass, 24, of Schenectady.
At this time, the incident is under investigation and police have not yet said whether or not any suspects or motives have been determined.
