Two Women Involved in Fiery ATV Crash in Whiting Section of Manchester

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Two women sustained serious burns to their heads, faces, arms and backs after being involved in a fiery ATV crash in the woods in Manchester’s Whiting section.

Police said they were called at around 6:15 pm on Wednesday of the report of the crash in the trails near Roosevelt Boulevard and Trenton Avenue. While they were riding, their Polaris ATV overturned and caught fire, police said.

Both women were treated on scene by Manchester EMTs and transported to The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

Nicole Rasmussen of Manchester and Victoria Labrecque, 20, of Toms River are reportedly listed in stable condition today.


The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service and Whiting Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire.
