Wicomico County Cocaine Dealer Busted With Guns and Drugs

SALISBURY, MD – Police descended upon the home of Michael Leshawne Ewell, 47, of Salisbury on July 5th on a warrant during a drug trafficking investigation.

Members of the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office Community Action Team (CAT) conducted an investigation into Michael Ewell distributing controlled, dangerous substances in Wicomico County.

“A search and seizure warrant was obtained for Ewell’s residence located on the 800 block of Kearney Kourt, Salisbury, MD. On July 5, 2022 the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team (SERT) executed the search and seizure warrant at Ewell’s residence. The residence was then turned over to members of the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and CAT,” police said. “A handgun, a Taurus .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun, an Interarms .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, a Columbia 12 Gauge shotgun, a Hawthorne .22 caliber rifle, a Ruger model 1022 rifle, and an ER LSA Company bolt action rifle. A vehicle was seized from the residence and brought back to the Sheriff’s Office where an additional search and seizure warrant was authored and served. A search of the vehicle revealed an additional 4.04 grams of cocaine in (9) individual baggies packaged for sales.”


Police said, “It is clear through the investigation as well as what was recovered during the search, that Ewell is involved in the street level sale and/or trade of CDS. Ewell was placed under arrest and transported to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.”

Ewell was transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center where he is held without bond.
