Fugitive Wanted for Double Shooting in McKeesport Rocks Fled Police

McKees Rocks, PA – Police in McKees Rocks have arrested Tealaun Claybourne for a May 29th double shooting on Locust Street in the Hays Manor Housing Complex.

According to police, at 4:46 a.m., officers of the McKees Rocks Police Department responded to a shooting in the 20 block of Locust Street where to two adult victims sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds to their extremities.

Allegheny County Police General Investigations Detectives investigated and determined that 21-year-old Taelaun Claybourne of Penn Hills was the person was responsible for the shooting. Claybourne is a former felon not permitted to possess a firearm. A warrant was obtained for Claybourne’s arrest, charging him with multiple counts of criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and firearms-related offenses.


On Saturday, Claybourne fled from authorities on foot as authorities attempted to take him into custody in the area of Broadway Avenue in McKees Rocks.

A search for Claybourne is currently underway and ongoing. Claybourne was last seen wearing no shirt and dark-colored pants. He is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5’6” tall and 150 lbs. If seen, members of the public are cautioned not to approach Claybourne and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
