Cape May Police Raid Home of Suspected Child Pornography Suspect

Cape May Court House, NJ – Police have arrested two Cape May men, one for distributing child pornography, after executing a court-ordered search warrant at their home on Mechanic Street in Cape May. The other was charged with possession of marijuana.

According to acting Cape May County Prosecutor Saverio Carroccia and Middle Township Police Chief

Chris Leusner, 63-year-old Ronald Curll and 20-year-old Shawn Gaston, both of Cape May Court House have been arrested and charged.


“This investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC),
CyberTip that revealed an unknown subject possessed/distributed videos of suspected Child Pornography via the internet,” Prosecutor Saverio said. “As a result of this investigation, a Court authorized search warrant was executed on July 15, 2022, at a residence on Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.”

Multiple computers and mobile devices at the residence were seized as evidence. It was determined that the suspect, Ronald Curll, was not at the location at the time of the execution.

According to police, Curll was located on Monday in Rio Grande. During the search of the residence, approximately 21 ounces of marijuana and approximately $4,000 in U.S. Currency was located. Gaston was charged for marijuana possession.
