Motorist Killed in Crash with Dump Truck in Dover

DOVER, PA – One person was killed on Monday during a crash around noon in the 5700 block of Harmony Grove Road.

According to police, a 33-year-old male from Mechanicsburg was driving his 2016 Ford F-450 southbound on Harmony Grove Road when he collided with a dump truck.

“The driver crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane of travel. The Ford struck a 2016 Freightliner dump truck that was northbound on Harmony Grove Road,” police reported. “The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene by a York County Deputy Coroner.”

The driver of the Freightliner was a 23 year old male from Dover, PA. The passenger of the Ford F-450 was a 27 year old male from Biglerville, PA. Both men were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
