Police Searching for Pair Who Stole Gun From Corner Store in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police are searching for two young subjects wanted for robbing a corner deli and stealing a registered firearm from the business.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, detectives are investigating a theft involving a stolen gun in the city’s Overbrook section.

“It happened along the 7200 block of Haverford Avenue on July 21st,” police said. “Around 4:40 PM, a man parked his truck and entered a nearby comer store. While inside, a female suspect, accompanied by a male, entered the vehicle and stole a black book bag containing a registered firearm, cash, jewelry and various ID and bank cards.”

The suspect and male fled eastbound on foot along Haverford Avenue. The firearm is a chrome and black .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun.
