PHILADELPHIA, PA – A woman walking a dog was robbed at gunpoint just two blocks north of the Philadelphia Museum of Modern Art two weeks ago and now police have released video surveillance footage of the suspect.

In an attempt to identify the gunman, police are asking residents to call them if they can help with his identification.

According to police, on July 12, at approximately 10:35 am, the victim, a 25-year-old-female, was walking her dog on the 7xx block of Taney Street.

“When she stopped at Swain Street to let an unknown black male past her, the male turned and pointed a handgun at the victim and asked for her phone and purse,” police said. “The suspect then took the victim’s purse from her but dropped the purse.”
