7-Year-Old Shot During Shooting at Philadelphia’s Wister Townhomes

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 7-year-old child was shot during during a shoot out at the Wister Townhomes Complex in Philadelphia Wednesday night.

Now, the Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group is asking for the public’s assistance for information in reference to a shooting.

According to police, at 8:05 pm, the occupants of a white BMW X3 were seen following a juvenile riding an ATV throughout the Wister Townhomes Complex.


“Once on the 200 block of Armstrong Street, the white BMW pulled over and both occupants, dressed in all black with masks, exit the BMW and begin firing through a large crowd of people at the ATV,” police reported.

A seven-year-old child was struck in his left hand during the gunfire and transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by police. The offenders fled in the white BMW and were last seen traveling on Collum Street towards Rufe Street.
