Police Make Arrest in Penn Hills Murder

PENN HILLS, PA – Allegheny County Police have made an arrest in the June 14 murder of a 27-year-old Shawn Allen Brookins in Penn Hills.

On that Tuesday, officers of the Penn Hills Police Department responded with paramedics to a residence in the 200 block of Crescent Pines Drive for a male shot. The victim, 27-year-old Shawn Allen Brookins, was pronounced deceased inside the residence.

“Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation,” police said. “Through the investigation, it was determined that 30-year-old Brandin Demonde Jackson was one of the individuals responsible for the shooting. An arrest warrant was obtained for Jackson charging him with criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and burglary.”

The Allegheny Police Department announced that on Saturday, Jackson was taken into custody by members of the Allegheny County Sheriffs Fugitive Squad.
