Alleged Drug Dealer, Parolee Arrested in Utica

UTICA, NY – On Wednesday, the Utica Police Department announced they had arrested a suspected drug dealer out on parole at the parking lot of the nearby Red Roof Inn.

According to police, members of NYS Parole contacted the Utica Police Department Special Investigations Division regarding the arrest of Parole Absconder, Rafael Morales in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn. During a search of his person/property members of Parole located an amount of heroin, a digital scale and associated packaging material consistent with the distribution of heroin.

Morales was charged Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and Two counts of Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree.

He was also charged as an NYS Parole Absconder.
