26-Year-Old Shot in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A 26-year-old man was shot but is expected to survive after an incident in Baltimore on Saturday.

According to detectives with the Baltimore County Violent Crimes Unit, the agency is investigating a shooting that was reported in the 1800 block of Belmont Ave., on August 6, at approximately 3:40 pm.

“When officers initially responded to the scene, they located a 26-year-old shooting victim. Medics transported the male victim to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury,” police said. “Preliminarily, detectives believe this shooting was not random. Based on their investigation, the suspect and victim had plans to meet one another.”


The purpose and circumstances surrounding the meeting remain under investigation.
