West Perrine Teen Critically Wounded

MIAMI, FL – South Miami Heights
Around 1am Monday morning, after receiving a ShotSpotter alert, Miami-Dade police responded to 171st Street in West Perrine for gunfire heard in the area. Officers learned by family members that a 16-year-old boy was critically wounded in a shooting early Monday.
According to Miami Dade police, he was taken by family members to Jackson South Medical Center, and remains in critical condition. Police said witnesses and family members are not cooperating with the investigation.
Anyone with information that can help detectives with the investigation should call police as there is no other information currently available.
