Holmdel Police Lose BMW Fleeing at 115 Miles Per Hour

HOLMDEL, NJ – Police in Holmdel gave chase to a BMW that fled officers after being a suspect in a burglary in Middletown but lost the vehicle due to its high rate of speed.

According to the Holmdel Police Department, “At 5:13 am our officers responded to the area of Everett and Stilwell Roads to assist Middletown Police Department who just had an attempted burglary in the area. While searching the area, our officers were passed by a white BMW operating at 115 miles per hour.

Holmdel police officers attempted to locate the vehicle but due to the high rate of speed were unable to locate it.


“While searching the area we were notified that we had several attempted car burglaries and one attempted home burglary in the Blue Hills/Bordeaux area,” the Holmdel Police Department said in a statement. “Security footage in that area showed that subjects attempted to steal a vehicle but were unsuccessful due to the resident locking their vehicle. The subjects then attempted to enter a nearby residence but were unsuccessful due to the home being locked.”
