Man Shot Multiple Times in Southeast, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man hospitalized Tuesday morning. The shooting took place on the 5000 block of Benning Road in Southeast, D.C.. The Department’s 6th District is asking for help in identifying the suspect involved in the incident.

According to investigators, “At approximately 6:45 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.”

Nearby surveillance cameras in the area captured the suspect.
