Police Seeking Suspect in Critical Shooting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – Police in Columbus are searching for a suspect wanted for shooting a male victim on South High Street last week.

According to police, on August 3, at approximately 12:17 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of South High Street on the report of a male being shot.

“Once on the scene, officers located the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his torso. Witnesses told police the suspect shot the victim outside,” the Columbus Police Department reported. “A fellow patron rendered aid to the victim until officers and medics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and rushed into surgery.”

Investigators were able to identify a suspect from a surveillance camera.
