ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria police officers met with members of the community’s youth leaders in order to build bridges and spend face-to-face time with the community on Thursday.

On Friday, APD officers spent the evening at Beatley Library getting to know our city’s youth leaders at the Youth Leadership Networking Event.

“Thank you to the Alexandria Library, Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria, and the Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy (ACAP) for coordinating this event. We want to give an even bigger thank you to the amazing youth leaders who took the time to speak with our officers and Goodies Frozen Custard & Treats for the delicious treats,” the department said in a statement today.
