D.C. Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and theft that took place shortly after midnight Wednesday morning in the Southeast section. This incident happened on the 5000 block of D Street. Police from the Sixth District are asking the public to identify the suspect.

According to investigators, “At approximately 1:03 am, the suspect approached the victims at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property from one of the victims. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.”

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspect.
