Juvenile Struck by Train and Killed in Point Pleasant

POINT PLEASANT, NJ – A child was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Point Pleasant Sunday afternoon. According to New Jersey Transit, a child was struck at around 4:30 pm b a southbound train heading toward Bay Head. The incident happened near Forman Avenue. The child, a pedestrian was struck by the train and did not survive.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating. Officials did not release any detailed information regarding this incident.
