Newark Police Searching for Dunkin Donuts Assault Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – A man with a crutch caused a commotion at the Dunkin Donuts drive-through on Broad Street last week.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, the Newark Police Department requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Monday, August 8, 2022.

“Just before 4:20 a.m., a female driver in the drive thru lane of Dunkin Donuts, at 1118 Broad Street, was spat upon and struck in the ear and wrist with a crutch by the suspect, who had blocked her path in the drive thru,” police said.


Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect as part of their investigation. He is described as 5’7” tall and 165 pounds. He was wearing a dark gray t-shirt, gray sweat pants, and black and gray Sketchers.
