Police Investigate Shots Fired at Bel Air Swim Club

BEL AIR, MD – Police in Bel Air investigated a shots fired incident at a local swim club Monday night. When police arrived, they learned there were no shots fired, but that somebody played the sound of gunshots on the club’s public announcement system.

While on scene, police intervened in a fight between two teenagers at the club.

“This evening at 9:17 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Fountain Green Swim Club for the report of shots fired. Deputies immediately responded and secured the area. At this time deputies have no evidence shots were fired. An event was going on at the pool at the time of the incident,” police said.

A 15-year-old boy was charged for assaulting a 13-year-old boy. That fight appears to be unrelated to the shots fired call.
