NEWARK, DE – Police in Newark are searching for a man wearing a blue DEA shirt who crashed his vehicle into a home in the city, then fled the scene.

According to police, on Monday at around 6pm, Newark Police responded to a residence in the 200-block of King William Street for a report that a vehicle struck a residence and left the scene.

“Officers determined that the incident happened about 2 hours prior to police arrival and no one was home at the time of the crash,” the Newark Police Department reported. “An investigation at the scene determined that a black pick-up truck struck the side of the residence, causing damage to both the exterior and interior of the residence.  No one is known to have been injured during the crash.”

Nearby video showed a white male driver, wearing a navy sleeveless t-shirt, plaid shorts and flip-flops.  He has a tattoo on the back of his left calf.  The driver and vehicle left the scene after the crash.
